Colorful Chicks
We went to a petting zoo and came across these spring chicken’s – they had been dyed. Laney was intriqued, the combination of their color and her eyes just pop off the screen. It just made for a great picture.

Cake, pinata, presents, & water balloon fights… but one of our fav pics of his birthday was just of Sergio, eager to move from one exciting event to the other at his gala birthday bash.
We’ve posted quite a bit on Facebook, so swing by there & ‘Like’ Storybook Candids for us.
We had a last minute request for a Spiderman themed birthday invite & only a cell phone photo of the bday boy to work with. We were able to design, revise & print these within a day & had a ton of fun doing so.
Lily turns 2! I photographed her party so mom was sure to not miss out on any of the fun. Her theme was butterflies. I took excerpts of the song Butterfly Kisses and tweaked them a bit for an overlay. It is a very sweet image of two very sweet girls!
Presley is a ham! She can be a real natural in front of the lens, you just have to be quick! This was a day out on the beach at Joe Pool Lake. I love that she is so frilly and yet not afraid to get dirty.
We had so much fun doing a graduation and family shoot for Janisha and her family. They needed announcements for her graduation banquet so we showcased a series that told a little story. What lies behind her, is nothing compared to what lies ahead. We wish Janisha all the best on her endeavors at Prarieview College. Tune in to the woman’s basketball team we have a feeling Janisha will help lead them to many a victory.
I rarely go anywhere without my camera. On this day it really paid off. I do not believe I could recreate this shot if I tried. Laney was playing on a playground that had one of those looking glass windows. The sunlight hit it just right creating this beautiful overlay of the tree’s outside upon her face. I love this photograph, it’s a beautiful reflection of her as well as mother nature.

We returned to the Gaylord and did a shoot with Libby and Tory. These girl’s were a blast to work with. They insisted on posing and doing their own thing. Here’s a page from their scrapbook with Libby’s favorite quote/riddle from Alice and Wonderland. Do you know the answer?
My beautiful mother and father. Our shoot was indoors at the Gaylord Texan, which is currently decorated in a Alice and Wonderland theme. It made a beautiful backdrop for some great pictures and lots of fun. I used an overlay of the lyrics to John Mayer’s song “Your Body is A Wonderland” which seems to have suited not only the location but the 30 years they have shared loving one another.
